Consolidated Glass Katydid Vase

This vase measures 7" in height by 8" across and the condition is excellent with no chips, cracks, etc.,  This vase comes to you from the Bob Ogorek collection that is mentioned in the Wilson book on Phoenix and Consolidated Glass.  It is a bit unusual because it is basically an opalescent white with a layer of clear glass and is reminiscent of Lalique glass.

Kralik Covered Jar

This covered jar is decorated with an orange art nouveau sea life decoration in fiery reddish orange on a yellow ground.  (VERY COOL) It measures just under 6" in height by 5 1/2" across.  It is in near mint condition.  If you look at the photographs, you will see where someone gently hit the lid against the neck of the vase.  I bought it like this because I had never seen this pattern and felt it to be quite rare. If you collect art nouveau glass, this covered jar would be a fun example to own.

Rare Consolidated Glass Iris Candlesticks

I have been handling Consolidated Glass for over three decades and this is the first pair of these candlesticks I have ever seen or owned.  If you look in the book "PHOENIX & CONSOLIDATED ART GLASS 1926-1980" by Jack Wilson, you will find two individual sticks in different colors shown in the color pages.  My example is the pink wash Iris pattern. These sticks measure 10" in height by 5" across the bottom.  The overall condition is good; however, there are chips to the bottom platforms.  The platforms could be ground down; however, the chips did not bother me because of the rareness of the pieces. If you collect Consolidated glass and are looking for the rarest of the rare, your look is over!

VENETIAN COMPOTE

This compote measures 7” in h eight by approximately 7” across.  The focal point is a dauphin which is the French symbol for the crown princess of the Bourbon Dynasty as the stem in colors of pink and yellow with gold highlighting.  The compote cup is gently scalloped and reminds me of waves.  The same color of medium yet transparent green is used in the cup and pedestal foot.  The condition is excellent and I guarantee it’s authenticity.  What a great center piece or business card holder this compote would make!
